Deep Connections. Authentic Communication. Individual Counseling. Couples Counseling.
People seek out therapy with hesitations and potential fears and struggles. I am here to help you along the way! Below are some of the common questions people ask.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, I am accepting new clients at this time.
How are you handling sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic?
The physical and emotional health of my clients and potential clients are my greatest focus. I am serving clients by offering telehealth (video) sessions only. This will ensure that you continue to have access to care and don’t have to be concerned about possible exposure in waiting rooms, offices, etc.
What is it like to work with you?
My goal as your therapist is to provide you with a safe and caring environment to evaluate your life and to provide you with some tools, helpful insights, and interventions to help you with daily living. I will provide you with a comfortable space to laugh, to be yourself, and to freely express yourself in a way that works for you. We will work together collaboratively to ensure your needs are being met and I will solicit your feedback along the way.
When do I pay for the session?
The session fee is collected at the beginning of each session. If you have a telehealth (video) session, the session fee is collected before the video session is initiated.
Why do you have two locations?
I’ve found that having multiple locations, one in Downtown Dallas, and one in Frisco, TX allows me to serve more individuals and couples throughout the DFW area.
What are the video sessions?
I offer individual counseling and couples counseling in-person and via video (telehealth) using a HIPAA-compliant platform for those clients who live in the state of Texas. Some insurance companies cover both in-person and video therapy (telehealth). To participate in a telehealth (video) session, I require that you are in a place where you can speak freely and you are not driving.
Can I send you text messages?
Yes, after our first session, you will have the ability to send me text messages, copies of your journal, or anything else you'd like to send 24/7. I will respond the same day to all messages received before 5 PM. However, be patient when it takes a little longer to respond because I may be with other clients or attending to personal matters.
Which insurance plans do you accept?
Currently, I accept BCBS Texas, United Healthcare/Optum, and Out of Network plans.
What does Out of Network mean?
Some insurance plans offer out of network benefits to help you pay for the care you receive from a therapist who doesn't accept your insurance plan. This option requires you to pay the full fee upfront and to request a reimbursement from your insurance provider.
If your insurance plan does offer out of network benefits, we can work together to process your claim so you can be reimbursed for a portion of the session fee. The amount reimbursed is determined by your insurance plan.
If your insurance plan does not offer out of network benefits, you will be responsible for the full amount charged for therapy.
