Restore Your Enthusiasm for Life and Your Smile
You were freely living life and then something happened. Did that relationship end unexpectedly? Were you anticipating an engagement ring soon? Did you think you were going to get married? Now, you aren’t excited about life. You go through the motions when you force yourself to hang out with friends. You want to laugh and have fun again but you aren’t sure how or where to start. You question why the relationship ended. You wonder if there was something you could've done differently.
As you sit home alone, you may find yourself listening to that critical voice that has guided your actions for many years. You may be dealing with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, anger, trauma, thoughts of suicide, issues specific to women, or issues specific to men.
We are here to help you deal with that break-up. We will provide a safe environment for you to assess the circumstances of your life and your relationships.
In Individual Counseling, we will explore the events of your life and consider the impact they have on you and those in your life. We will review coping skills to reduce unwanted symptoms and strategies to navigate daily life. We will use tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Art Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. In therapy, we will work together to set short-term and long-term goals to move in your desired direction.
Your emotions don't have to control your life. You are resilient and courageous and you have the capacity for long-term change.
